New Blog. New Google Profile. New Products.
Seamlessly integrating a responsive and flexible blog into our main website was proving to be highly frustrating – it came at the expense of speed and user-friendliness of the site – so our blog now exists as this new dedicated site!
With the re-profiling of our recommended Brands and demonstration facilities we’ve also taken the opportunity to flesh out our Google Profile, so ‘Google-ers’ old and new to Hi-fi in area can now have a much richer preview of us before visiting. The gallery of photos attached to our Google Profile features numerous images that are far more representative of our store look and feel.
This has come, in part, to a number of exciting additions to our range. Traditional hi-fi is still our core passion, but the quality and huge potential of streaming and network-based hi-fi solutions has changed what our customers and we want and expect a hi-fi system to be.
Some of the biggest game-changers for us in recent years has been the addition of Accuphase, Moonriver, Shunyata, FinkTeam, Epos, Innuos and Melco to our range.
These are must-listen alternatives to what is regularly pushed by the ‘specialist’ press in the high end market – however great, involving hifi still exists at entry and mid level price points.
Acoustic Energy have produced stunning speakers in their budget 100 Series (easily surpassing the bloated and dull Q Acoustic range we dropped last year), Pro-Ject and Edwards Audio produce class-leading turntables and traditional amplifiers, plus brands such as Silent Angel and Wiim have been bringing music streamers to market that will tempt away those Raspberry Pi enthusiasts, who’s hobby is now becoming very frustrating and expensive to achieve proper hi-fi grade results.
Finally, returning to the subject of the blog. Our aim is to provide genuine insight into brands that quietly get on with the job of REAL hifi engineering, not just pandering to the latest technology fad – or trying to appease their armies of celebrity social media pundits…(the ever growing replacement to the old guard of hifi press, with the same impartiality issues).
The end goal is to encourage you to get out there and listen for yourself, and hear other peoples tales of doing the same!
